The Solar Compass is a Project headed by TRUs own Michael Mehta. As one of the first members on this team, I was given the task of promotion and public relations. The video displayed here is available on youtube as well as on our website: http://solarcompass.blogspot.ca/, and is linked below.
This was designed by the video team that I was a part of, and I was in charge of writing and recording the voice over.

Solar is an amazing alternative for Kamloops, where we get more sun hours a year than solar-dominated countries such as Germany.
In the Geography and Environmental studies degree, there are so many people and projects that are encouraging solar power, especially on campus.
The Solar Compass Project hopes to implement solar road technology outside of the Arts and Education Building and offset the power that many computers in the building use every day.
